What You Need
- 45 rectangles of coloured construction paper pre-cut into 5” x 8”
inch pieces with a variety of different words and/or letters (prefixes and
suffixes) printed on them
- Sticky tack (to attach construction paper to the wall)
- Writing paper and pens
How It Works
This practice can be used in any English class. It is a good way to introduce
poetry or a good idea to deconstruct poetry for meaning and for poetic devices.
It supports learners who feel hesitant about writing/deconstructing their own
poetry.
