Hyung Lee moved to Truro with her family from Korea. She had the following comments about what the ESL classes have meant to her. The ESL classes help me alot. I didn’t know any information about the community when I came here.I got lots of knowledge in English about schools, banking, car insurance and other things. When immigrants move here we need this kindof information. I also like the social communication. This support helps me live here. Hyung Lee
Other participant comments; Classes are fun and entertaining. We learn alot while we read and talk about common issues.
When I am at the CALA classes, I feel like learning at my own pace. It’s relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable.
Grammar and pronunciation are two challenging aspects for new immigrants. The teachers have a strong ability to teach us how to play with them.
