A work site, whether it is a school, a factory, a hospital or a bank posts fire exits and safety information. Most handbooks describe this in detail. A handbook may also include a map of fire exits, location of first aid kits, and the process to follow if you witness an accident or are involved in an accident.
The handbook may also include information on ensuring personal safety. The company may arrange a car pool for late shift workers. They may make suggestions about storing purses or other personal property. There may be suggestions about what to do if you feel your personal safety is being threatened.
