Tool #3 – A: Collaboration Map

Purpose: This map provides a visual representation of the collaborations in literacy program delivery and events in your community. Not everyone will choose to use this tool as it does not provide further information than that provided in the Collaboration Chart. It is simply another way of showing the same information.

This tool can be completed at the end of the year with the Collaboration Chart, or it can be added to as the year progresses.

Instructions

• Step 1: Write in the Map Legend box the names of all the programs or events you offered this year. Next to each, write the name of a different colour.
• Step 2: Write the name of your organization in the middle circle. In the other circles, write the names of all the types of contributors with whom you collaborate to provide programs and events.
• Step 3: Using markers of the same colours that you chose in the Map Legend, draw lines that connect your organization with the other contributors for each program/event. See the example.
