Consonance
Consonance is the repetition of similar ending consonant sounds of several
words. Writers use this technique to highlight elements of their writing
and to make their writing musical.
“Snake” |
D.H. Lawrence |
He reached down from a fissure in the
earth — wall in the gloom
And trailed his yellow-brown slackness
soft-bellied down, over the edge
of the stone trough. |
