Dusk to Dawn

I was at the trap line, sitting on a log, watching the fire bum, as I was puffing on my cigarette.

All of the sudden, noise spontaneously burst in death ears, to the point where my ears began to ring. When the ringing stopped, in the distance, I could hear the sound of a beaver slapping it's tail, continuously, which caused an echo, which travelled for miles and miles.

That was when my thoughts cleared out, I think the sound of the echo took my thoughts away. At the time my smoke was done, and it was time to go inside and cook for myself.

Whiled I was inside cooking, I could hear wolves howling in the distance. After a while, the sound of silence filled my ears, till the stillness of the moment annoyed me. So, I went to sleep and woke up hearing the beautiful sound of birds, calling out a new day.
