Introduction to Jackie’s story

Jackie is new to the Woodstock area and says this is the best town she has ever lived in. She is involved in the special Olympic bowling and loves horseback riding. Jackie has a part-time job at the Bulk Barn and is really looking for full time work. Jackie attended the literacy conference last year in Hamilton and learned a lot about how to write stories and met a lot of other learners. Jackie has two very special people who have made a difference in her life. Marilyn and Jack -they work for the Von and spend every Tuesday with Jackie. They have made a big difference in Jackie as she is more outgoing and has a lot of self-confidence. Jackie is looking to move on with her education and prepare herself for independent living.
