A few notes from last years' winners

The Building Blocks to Literacy and Life was the name of the Warkworth Literacy Council's 5th annual literacy symposium. Held at the beginning of September, council members welcomed eleven speakers and presenters to their symposium. Workshops included: Communications; Computers in Today's Society; Learning Strategies Program; You Can Teach Anyone Anything; Cultivating Student Leadership and How to Maintain a Laubach Literacy Council.

READ Saint John's Creative Writing/Art Contest brought out the "hidden" creativity within their students. Some students who did not normally participate in contests boldly came forward with their entries. Awards were presented to these students at READ Saint John's AGM in November.
