TOTAL HEALTH – BODY AND MIND
WORKSHOP REPORT
Having received a $700 award from the Dr. Bob Laubach Student Fund, the Greater Moncton Literacy Council held their Total Health – Body and Mind Workshop on September 18th with twenty-one students in attendance.
Three facilitators made presentations on fitness, health and daily physical activity; exercise aids and health instruments; and nutritious food choices and shopping tips.
Workshop participants were treated to two drawings for gift certificates from a local food store.
The workshop was deemed a great success by all participants. Many of those who attended were contacted a week later and several had already made significant positive changes in their diet and physical activity lifestyles.
