Congratulations to the National Adult Literacy Database on the occasion of being recognized internationally by winning an honorable mention from UNESCO!

The NALD web site was the first Internet site to receive literacy prize recognition from UNESCO. Through the outstanding efforts of NALD Executive Director, Mr. Charles Ramsey and his dedicated staff, NALD has opened the door to literacy information and services world-wide.

NALD has made an outstanding contribution to literacy in this country and throughout the world - a contribution that was formally recognized by UNESCO when it bestowed an honorable mention to the database. NALD has brought literacy resources and services within the reach of hundreds of millions of people world-wide...and all at the click of a button! Congratulations from the members and staff of the Literacy Development Council of Newfoundland & Labrador!
