Mentors Reflect on Mentoring Sessions

"I did not realize how small the kids would be."

In order to collect data, we relied on the written responses in the male mentor logs (weekly journals) and the student response logs. The male mentors quoted in the study have given their written permission for use in this report. The mentors wrote about the children's responses to the read aloud sessions. The comments in Table 8 are from the mentor's journals.
