Skills Link is implemented and funded through three main mechanisms:

  • Provision of support and financial assistance to youth directly through HRSDC;
  • Provision of contribution funds to contribution recipients so they may provide employment services and interventions to youth; or
  • Provision of contribution funds to Community Coordinators who redistribute the funds directly to participants or to contribution recipients so they may provide employment interventions to youth.

Summer Work Experience: recipients are funded by contribution agreements. There is no maximum contribution per recipient. The amount of the contribution is determined by the number of eligible participants who participate or are to be served.
