Participants also felt that a fundamental shift in attitudes
was required.
A general perception that going to university is better than option for a
career in the trades; that more education is always better.
The perception that PEI is a "cheap" labour market; that workers and
immigrants are disposable.
An anti-union mentality, including among some workers.
Participants stressed that while these attitudes where not necessarily
prevalent, they illustrate the fundamental challenges that the province
must address.
