For 30 years the Victoria READ Society has helped learners of all ages overcome literacy challenges.
Teachers trained in literacy, special education and English-as-a Second Language assess learners and develop programs that meet individual needs and goals.
Children and youth programs include one-to-one instruction in math, reading and language. Small-group adult programs cover basic academic skills, upgrading for employment and English language and literacy for landed immigrants and refugees.
In a caring environment READ participants expand their ability in language and numbers, build self-esteem and become more confident members of their communities.
