How to understand the results of the areas that we reviewed

Once the learner has completed the Cooper Screening Tool, the summary of the results should be recorded in the Screening Summary. The purpose of this page is to obtain a profile of the person's thoughts and basic skills. The summary does not provide a numerical score but rather a visual profile of the number of marks in the columns.

To score the Cooper Screening of Information Processing, add up the 'yes' answers in each section and place a mark in the appropriate column (see below). Individuals with severe or significant learning problems will have many marks in the right hand column. Individuals with less significant problems or learning disabilities will have more marks in the left hand or middle column. Individuals who have few marks on the screening summary probably do not have a learning difference, problem or disability.
