Publication: Literacy in the Information Age

Goals:

• To promote awareness of the requirement for literacy in the information age
• To help parents help their children develop skills to succeed
• To promote partnerships in the community in order to promote literacy.

Description: Initiated by Canadian Home and School Federation 14 years ago. Literacy in the Information Age provides tips and information on reading, math, homework, etc.

Project: Come Read With Me

Goals: To encourage children to read, especially Canadian authors. To encourage children to write.

Target: English Language elementary schools

Description: A writing contest for English language elementary schools in Quebec, focusing on Canadian authors.

Partners: Literacy Partners of Quebec, Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages.
