PRE-OP SEQUENCE EXAMPLE

An example of a pre-operational sequence is performed in the following
sequence:

1. Approach the machine
   • inspect for leaks and signs of vandalism
2. In the engine compartment, check the following areas:
   • oil
   • fuel system
   • exhaust
   • belt tension
   • electrical and hydraulic system for fluid levels
   • general condition
   • cooling system
   • air intake system
   • leaks
   • contaminants
3. In the cab
   • set the controls
   • check the instruments
   • start the engine and re-check the instrument readings
4. Outside walk around
   Inspect the following for damage, wear, leaks and general condition.
   • attachments
   • undercarriage
   • hydraulic systems
   • connections
5. Return to the cab
   • re-check the instrument readin
