What is it called? |
Goal Directed Assessment: Demonstrations and Samples |
What do they do? |
The resource is designed to be a tool for initial assessments,
for ongoing assessments and exit assessments. It focuses particularly
on Reading
and Writing, Levels 1 to 3. Included in the resource are the
following:
- Skills checklists for reading, writing, speaking and listening,
and numeracy. These checklists are based on the Learning
Outcomes Matrix produced by MTCU and the Level Descriptions
produce by OLC.
- Summary charts to show the progression of reading and
writing skills through the Levels
- Sample materials and activities for the Levels.
- Assessment tools presented in demonstration format.
|
Why is it useful? |
- It provides more direction for the tutor and the assessor
and, ultimately, for the student.
- It also reduces stress of the tutor and the assessor because
there is a pool of exercises and samples to choose from.
