Of the 225 surveys sent out, 54 have been returned. Two of the responses are not included in the calculations below as they were incomplete. This represents a 24% return, and the quality of the returns indicates an interest in literacy in 17 municipal local unions (questions 5 & 8 combined). In addition, 12 out of 54 local unions have indicated an interest in conducting a workplace literacy program in cooperation with the employer.
