Program Publications: Read/Write Now: A Literacy Program for Adults with Learning Disabilities.

Program Mission and Goals: To help individuals with low literacy levels enhance their competency in reading, writing, math and general knowledge, to a point where they can function successfully in employment or further education.

Program Description: The Bridges program encourages learners to identify and build upon their strengths through remedial instruction. The goal of this program is to assist individuals with learning disabilities to develop their literacy skills to the point where they can either function in an employment setting or go onto further education.

The program has the following components:

  • Basic Literacy
  • Intermediate literacy
  • Computer training
  • Life skills
  • Job preparation
  • One-on-one tutoring
