Steps in Passing on
Two Lane Roads
- See that no cars are coming
toward you.
- Check your rear view mirror
to see if a car is about to pass you.
- Signal that you are about to
change lanes.
- After you pass the car,
signal that you are again changing lanes.
- Return to the right lane. Do
not return too soon. Be sure that the car you have just passed is far enough
behind you before you return to the right lane.

yellow line is in your lane, or on your side of the highway. Never cross double
solid yellow lines to pass another car.
