PORTUGUESE WOMEN FIFTY FIVE PLUS
This support group is aimed at bringing together senior
Portuguese speaking women, and offers programs and activities which respond to
the needs of its members, They have this to say about themselves:
"When this project first started, we were met with
scepticism. Many people were very sceptical of the success of a group of "old
ladies", We are very happy to prove them wrong and to be the first organized,
independent group of Portuguese women in Toronto, and, possibly, in all of
Canada,"
