Women's EDUCATION des femmes ACKNOWLEDGMENTS In this issue, Susan Gray Dueck, Nattalia Kilborn, Betty-Ann Lloyd, Chantal Phillips, Wendy Priesnitz, and Lona Smiley take a good look at mainstream forms of education and learning and come up with some serious critiques and a few alternatives. Beryl Tsang describes for us the work of an anti-racist educator, Sandra Acker compares situations for female academics in Canada and Britain, and Francoise Sigur-Cloutier outlines the importance of recognizing women's contribution to the francophone community in Saskatchewan. Marilyn Hodgson Tuck, in our Commentary, muses why so few rural students, particularly women, achieve a higher level of education, and we are indebted to Norma Lundberg for her review of Patti Lather's book and for pulling it all together in the Editorial. Poetry in this issue comes from Elizabeth Brewster, Ronnie Brown, Linda Rogers, Gillian Harding-Russell, and Gail Youngberg. We gratefully acknowledge the financial contribution of Secretary of State, Women's Program.
