WOMEN'S EDUCATION DES FEMMES, a
feminist connection to the world of learning and education, is published
quarterly by the Canadian Congress for Learning Opportunities for Women. CCLOW
is a national, nonprofit organization promoting feminist education and the
empowerment of women.

A number of varied and insightful contributions have
brought together this issue which looks at the social security review and
reformist policies, barriers for students with disabilities, racism in
multicultural education, a feminist shake-up in the Catholic school system, the
struggle between progressive and traditional beliefs for women in Afghanistan,
views on gender equity from francophone teachers and students, and the creative
possibilities of working collectively. Contributors are Lisa Bendall, Helene
