While you are reading, you may come to a word or phrase or idea that you do not understand.

Write down what you think is causing the problem and the page number. Also, write down how you tried to solve the comprehension problem. Make a X if you are successful.

NOTE: Prior to moving to the third section of the Reading Workshops, Reading Informational Text some participants will require more directed instruction and continued practice in applying the comprehension strategies. Depending upon the needs of participants, any of the comprehension strategies emphasized in the preceding sessions could be repeated using different reading selections.
