True Story
A school caretaker, wearing short gardening gloves, tried to remove a baby racoon from a school. The baby animal was terrified and bit the caretaker. The baby racoon had to be put down (killed) and the caretaker had to have very painful rabies shots.

Staying alive and staying healthy are outcomes of working safely. If you feel that a task is too dangerous or unsafe, remember that you do have the right to refuse. There is a worker health and safety representative in all workplaces with five or more workers.
