Bookmarks
Bookmarks in Netscape are used for the same purpose as a more
traditional bookmark. A bookmark allows the reader or user to jump to
a particular page. In this case it would be a particular Webpage.
When you have located a Webpage that you think you would like to
revisit, you can add a bookmark to Netscape. With the page displayed
on your screen, click on the Bookmark icon located to the left of the
Netsite/Location box. A list will drop down indicating all your
current bookmarks as well as Add Bookmark, File Bookmark and Edit
Bookmark, as shown in Figure 5-9. You will notice that some of the
bookmarks are located in folders. Figure 5-9 shows the contents of one
of the folders. Arranging and filing your bookmarks will be addressed
in a few paragraphs. If you select Add Bookmark, a shortcut to the
current Webpage will be added to your bookmark list.
To use a bookmark, click on the Bookmark icon as indicated above.
Select the bookmark of the page that you would like to visit and
Netscape will immediately begin to retrieve that page.
The Bookmarks window will display the contents of the Bookmarks list
in a tree format. To access the Bookmarks window, select Edit
Bookmarks from the Bookmarks list shown in Figure 5-9. Your Bookmarks
window will look similar to Figure 5-10. To expand a folder to see
it's contents, click on the plus sign (+) beside the folder. The tree
format will expand. To collapse the tree down again, click on the
minus sign (-). To go directly to any page listed in the Bookmarks
window, double click on the listing.
