Movement for Canadian Literacy

The Movement for Canadian Literacy (MCL) is a non-profit organization that gives a national voice to literacy communities across Canada. It advises and works with the federal government on priority issues for those working to improve literacy.

Learners’ Advisory Network

The Learners’ Advisory Network, housed within the Movement for Canadian Literacy, is made up of learners from the provinces and the territories. Since it is run by learners themselves, the Network offers a unique perspective on literacy issues affecting all Canadians. Through practical research, advisory services and advocacy, the Network links adult learners throughout Canada; helps groups use clear language; and promotes support for adult literacy programs.

La Fédération canadienne pour l’alphabétisation en français

  • Represents french-speaking organizations dedicated to literacy from one end of Canada to the other;
  • Is devoted to promoting questions concerning literacy with regards to the french-speaking population of Canada as well as making francophones aware of this issue;

Provides tools and training on top of organizing national literacy projects.
