The Bear TruthSANDRA PLEHNIt was just breaking dawn when Mary opened her eyes, to the start of a new day. With a ray of sunshine beaming in the window, she knew it was going to be a beautiful day. After finishing breakfast and straightening the den, May said “Hey! George, would you like to go for a stroll?” George replied, “Yes Mary. I would.” Mary suggested going around the block. “Good idea” replied George. “We might run into Lester. I need to know what time the gent’s meeting is tonight. This week the topic is on the environment.” Mary placed her blue bonnet on her head and George put on his ball cap. As they opened the door to leave they could hear the birds singing in harmony. A warm wind blowing had the leaves on the trees dancing in tune with the birds’ songs. Walking out of the door a soft breeze kissed their face. George and Mary started on their walk, and before long Mary said: “Look George is that a new family in our neighbourhood?” “Yes”, answered George. “They moved here a week ago.” ‘What’s their name?” “Never heard what they are called,” said George, “but I think they are interesting.” |
