Types of Requests

  1. Interlibrary Loan: (Author / Title)

Interlibrary loan forms - for individual titles. The author's name and the title of the book should be as correct and as complete as possible. Check our on-line catalogue for correct spelling of names and titles. Materials will be searched at our office then forwarded by interlibrary loan via Interlend or fax, to another public library in our region or in Saskatchewan.



  1. Subject Reguest:

Subject Request Form – for theme studies and subject specific. This form should be used when requesting support materials for teaching a unit or for further information on a subject of interest (i.e. cross–country skiing, bears, fairy tales, spring). the grade and/or reading level must be listed so that you receive appropriate materials. Be very specific about the topic. Provide as much information as possible about the topic. Subject requests are handled from our office only.

  1. Video Request:

Video request form - one video title per form. It is important to fill in all the required information. A viewing date is required because it determines the mailing date. Videos are shipped Priority Post at no cost to the patron so that they can be insured against loss and tracked easily through the postal system. They must also be sent back using the priority post labels included with the videos.




The school or public library handles all the requests first then they are forwarded to PNLS

Library System Card:

A PNLS library card is available through your public library or directly from PNLS. This card can be used to borrow materials in any public library in Saskatchewan. this is called Reciprocal Borrowing. To obtain a card from PNLS please refer to the Direct Borrowers section of this pamphlet. Teachers who register from a school, which has no public library, should indicate if a card is be required.
