Which were the most successful sessions and why? The CARA assessment program. The students score is derived from hislher performance in comprehension and word recognition. This program was very successful because it showed the students where their weaknesses were.

Which were the least successful sessions and why? The sessions using the words from the Justice Literacy Indicator. At least 90% of the inmates felt the words were too difficult to learn.

How do you think the program could better encourage literacy skill development? The program needs a full time tutor at least F hours per day, 4 days per week. The inmates need full time classes/ tutoring.
