Introduction to Sheila's story

Sheila has been taking literacy classes for about 18 months. Soon after joining the Rehabilitation Society of Calgary, Sheila thought that she would like to take part in literacy classes. She enjoys going to classes, as well as working on the SARAW computer. Since she started the literacy program, Sheila’s comprehension level has increased significantly. She is able to understand what she is reading a lot better. She treats classes like a fun activity rather than work, and is eager to take work home if she ever has to miss a class.

Sheila enjoys reading the Rehab newsletter, the English Express, and she loves word search. She has even written several stories for the Rehab newsletter.
