ALASTAIR MCILHAGGA AUTOBIOGRAPHY

ALASTAIR PAST LIFE

I was born in Winnipeg. But my childhood memories were in Ottawa where I grew up. I spent time with my brother and my cousins. My relatives lived on a farm where we would play croquet and go for a swim in their pool. When I got back to town, I use to have a pillow fight with my brother.

My favourite things were spending time with my girlfriend and spending three summers at camp. We would sit around the campfire roasting marshmallows and telling stories. They had water skiing, hockey, basketball and swimming. I would listen to my dad’s radio broadcasts on CBC radio.

A best friend is somebody who sticks by you through thick and through thin. My best friend, when I was younger, was a girl named Lynda. We used to have a lot of fun together. We drove our bikes and went all over the neighbourhood at times. Sometimes I would call on her and she would be in the garage, trying on her mother’s old clothes.

One of the happiest times I had was going to the summer camp. It was mainly a Jewish camp, so I felt just a little out of place. There were a number of activities such as canoeing, sail boating and waterskiing. Water-skiing was the most popular.
