And now, here in the present, I seem to have settled down. I enjoy being with my dad in my four-bedroom townhouse. On a hockey night, we would invite my brother over to see the game and have a barbecue. My brother has a girlfriend by the name of Rita. She has had very bad luck lately. Her car broke down twice before and that’s just a couple of months ago. Rita bought a little dog, a boxer to be precise. The poor little dog almost had his eye scratched out by a cat.
Most of my time is watching TV. I like watching the cooking shows. My favourite foods are chicken Kiev, pizza, hot dogs and lobster. The music that I like ranges from hard rock to mainstream. A CD that I got from “AC/DC” is called “Razor’s Edge”.
I like to play road hockey and I also like to play tennis up against the wall in the parking lot. My favourite TV shows are “MASH” and “All In The Family”. Both of these shows are excellent. In our family, we celebrate Christmas in the usual way, with a Christmas tree with all the trimmings, presents and all. And don’t forget the goose for Christmas dinner.
At Frontier College I am learning how to pay attention and to listen. I come twice a week on Wednesday and I join the Men’s Group. This past March 20th, I celebrated my 40th birthday. My brother invited his friend Tony to the party and our ex-next door neighbour, Margaret, was there as well. For presents, I got a portable CD player and a nice gold watch. And to top it all off, for dinner we had lobster. I had the biggest one, the three-pounder.
The one place in my home that I like to be in the most is down in my basement listening to my CD’s. It is very relaxing. The basement during the summer months is cool. We have a TV and a VCR that I can hook-up to my stereo and watch things in stereo.
