CHERYL KELMAN AUTOBIOGRAPHY

CHERYL PAST LIFE

My full name is Cheryl Kelman. I was born on January 20th 1953 in Toronto General Hospital here in Toronto. I am a Canadian.

I don’t know what my first name means but I was named after my grandmother. I don’t think my family name has a special meaning.

I knew my grandmother. She died when I was about seven years old. She was a very kind and helpful person.

My grandparents were born in Poland. I can’t pronounce or spell the name of where they were born and I don’t know when they were born. They were living there during the war and they hid in the country. They were short of food and money. They were still young when they left Poland and came to Canada. My parents were born in Canada.

My father’s name is David Kelman and my mother’s name is Molly. My father says he is 85 and my mom is about 82. My dad had a big family. My mom’s brother was born in Poland but she was born here with her two sisters. The eldest, Belle, died in her 70s but Symmy is living in Thornhill still. My parents are kind and helpful to me and we go out a lot together. My father is retired now but used to work in real estate. My mom is also retired. She used to work at Diet Workshop around St. Clair.

My aunts and uncles used to take me out to parks and on trips to their condominium in St Petersburg, Florida. We had lots of fun but they sold the condominium a while ago so we don’t go to Florida now. They are all my favourite relatives.
