I have one older brother Steven in his 50s, seven years older than me. He was very funny and told me jokes and took me out when we were kids. He lives on Bathurst and Eglinton, so I see him a lot and he still tells me lots of jokes.

I was very shy as a child and I used to hide sometimes when people came to visit. I don’t do that now as I enjoy being with company.

I didn’t have a real nickname though I was called Sweetie or Honey-bunch or Darling at times. I have been in special schools all my life. I like Frontier College because I am doing reading programs here and at the Reena program at Bathurst.

I liked skipping, bowling and singing in the choir. I still sing in the choir. I used to play the drums and I took drama classes, horseback riding and skiing when I was younger.

My favourite toy, as a child, was a monkey.

The happiest memory of my childhood was when I went out walking in the park with my parents. I saw the ducks, robins, crows and a lot of Canadian geese. I also saw flowers, roses, violets and tulips. I remember going for lots of walks when I was a little girl and when I was a teenager.

A best friend is someone who keeps your secrets. Sometimes best friends sleep over at each other’s houses. My best friends were Gail, Francine, Linda and Jeffery. We went ice-skating, bowling, skipped rope and had sleepovers.
