Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s
Golden Jubilee

The year 2002 marked the 50^th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s reign as Queen of Canada. In celebration of this momentous occasion, the Golden Jubilee medal was created and awarded to Canadians who have made significant contributions to their fellow citizens, their community or to Canada.

A special Laubach ceremony was held in Saint John, NB in June to present the Golden Jubilee medal and certificate to the award recipients. Laubach Literacy of Canada is proud to announce some of the recipients of this honour from within our literacy family.
