Small monthly payments may look attractive but you must look at the number of payments you will have to make. Many times major purchases are well worn out or no longer useful and you are still paying them out. It is very important to plan major purchases. There will be times when you will not be in a position to pay the complete amount. A down payment, even a small one, can make a big difference in the final cost.
