Thanks a million Ed

Ed Smith is a well-known writer from Springdale. His column called The View From Here was published in several newspapers. He has written several books of humour. These books include Not A Word Of A Lie and I Blame It All On Mainlanders.

Mr. Smith was injured in a car accident west of Badger on January 3. He suffered spinal cord damage which left him paralyzed. He spent several weeks in the intensive care unit at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's. He is now getting rehabilitation at the Miller Centre in St. John's.

The editors and readers of First-Time Readers thank Ed for his generous contributions to our paper over the past few years. We know his humour will be a great help to him at this time. We wish him all the best.
