Viewpoint

It seems that girls take leadership roles in school. They are student council presidents and they shine in fine arts. Women are organizers in our communities. They run all kinds of community clubs. They help behind the scenes in elections. However, few women run as candidates in town council and provincial elections. Eight women were elected in 48 districts in the province in February's election. Why do you think fewer women than men run for leadership roles?
