About the Author
Martha Jean was born almost 50 years ago. During the second half of those years, as a substitute
teacher in the public schools and as an adult education teacher for Community Action, Inc., in
Salisbury, MA, she discovered that her best teaching happened when she was trying to figure out
the many ways that her students could learn.
