Educational level and expectations
Interviewees were asked about their parents’ academic achievement and
their parents’ educational achievement expectations for their children.
Tables 7 and 8 show, generally, the interviewees’ fathers had higher levels
of educational achievement than mothers with more fathers achieving a college
diploma or more advanced education.
