Program Mission and Goals: To provide lifeskills and literacy to our clientele group. To develop innovative programs for women.

Program Description: The Stardale Women's Group is overseen by both a board of directors and an advisory board. This literacy program was established in 1998 to educate poor and Aboriginal women who were falling between the cracks. The program can accommodate up to 14 learners.

Programs are offered through small classes. Learner capabilities are assessed through the intake process and individual case management. Goals are client directed. The program includes a community development component and learners assist by helping to create projects that serve to enhance the capacity building of the community. The program has the following components:

  • Life Skills
  • Upgrading Credits
  • Family Literacy
