Unique Features of this Program: Delivered in a corrections setting. Given that the population of Pine Grove Correctional Centre is 90% Aboriginal and that some of the staff are of Aboriginal ancestry there is a strong focus on culturally relevant materials and delivery methods. Elders are used in the program.

Program Challenges: It is a challenge to offer courses in Aboriginal languages. It can also be challenging to offer components of the program such as life skills and computers training.
