Program Mission and Goals: The Regina Early Learning Centre is a child and family development centre that works cooperatively with low income families to provide programs which foster healthy development of children from prenatal to five years of age. The centre believes that:

  • All children have the right to grow and learn in a supportive environment that is sensitive to their needs.
  • Parents are their child's first teacher.
  • The community has a responsibility to support the healthy development of children and families.
  • Learning occurs within the context of relationships.
  • Respect and mutuality characterize the relationships between staff, children and families.
  • Using a strengths-based model empowers all participants.

Program Description: The Regina Early Learning Centre was established in 1977 to meet the learning and development needs of three and four-year-olds from low income homes. Since then it has grown in size and scope. The centre now offers a variety of programs for children from prenatal through age five and their families.
