Program Mission and Goals:

Mission
The Saskatchewan Literacy Network promotes and supports literacy in Saskatchewan.
The Saskatchewan Literacy Network fulfills this mission through the following:

Public Awareness

• We promote literacy in Saskatchewan through the celebration of International Adult Literacy Day (September 8), and Family Literacy Day (January 27)
• We host the annual PGI Golf Tournament for Literacy
• We organize the annual Saskatchewan Literacy Awards of Merit
• We develop and distribute literacy promotional material

Advocacy

• We provide information about literacy in Saskatchewan to government, the general public, and the media. We also monitor and respond to federal and provincial literacy initiatives and policy.
• We host adult learner focus and support groups
