FIGURE 24 indicates:
- Women have been gaining a disproportionate share of new jobs
in all areas because they are entering the workforce in much higher
numbers than men.
- Women's share of new jobs is particularly striking in
the Managerial/Administrative area (women represented 18% of incumbents in
1975; 46% of the growth) and in the Blue Collar area (women represented 12% of
incumbents in 1975; 34% of the growth).
