Because of my cerebral palsy some of my childhood was difficult and frustrating. Some of the kids would make fun of me. As a result of that, I was always reminded of my cerebral palsy and that made it seem bigger for me. They put a label on you, it sticks forever and they never let you forget it.
When you are 14, you are looking for answers. Your parents tell you what will work. But this is only a skeleton of the blueprint of the whole idea. When I am older I will get wiser and I will understand life much clearer. My hormones won’t be going in five directions. I know that to fully understand what happens in life you have to go through the experience. When you think too fast, your mind is ahead of you. This is not good because you forget what you are doing. Our life should be lived in the moment.
A long time ago, Mr. Dressup came to the group home where I work. He was a nice guy. I enjoyed his show. The kids at the group home liked him, too.
