Life Literacy Radio – Episode 5: Interview with Joe Gallant, worker and Tracy Defoe, expert in workplace literacy and essential skills [Audio 24:10]

This episode of Life Literacy Radio celebrates International Adult Learners’ Week (IALW), observed every year in April.

The episode includes an interview with Joe Gallant of Red Deer, Alberta. He went from being a labourer with low literacy skills to being a skilled tradesperson and a lifelong learner.

There is also an interview with Tracy Defoe, an expert in workplace Literacy and Essential Skills. She discusses a variety of issues, including the importance of plain language and clear design.

Life Literacy Radio is an audio podcast dedicated to literacy, education, and lifelong learning. It was launched in 2010 by ABC Life Literacy Canada.
