Nominations For LLC Board of Directors and President - May, 1999 Elections At the May, 1999 Annual General Meeting, the membership will elect five new directors for the LLC Board, and a new president. Last year, substantial changes were made to the nomination and election process as part of the amendment to the LLC Bylaws. Now, instead of Board members being appointed by the various LLC provincial organizations, the Nominations Committee, which is a committee of the LLC Board of Directors, is mandated to provide a slate of nominees for the positions which will become vacant in May, 1999. In addition to those nominees on the slate identified by the Nominations Committee, the LLC membership will have an opportunity to nominate nominees for the five Board member positions, as well as nominees for the position of president. Nominees for the position of president must have served at least two years as a Director of LLC. All nominees must be nominated by at least 10 members of LLC. Nominees' names, biographical information, along with the signatures and names of the ten LLC members who are supporting the nomination, should be forwarded by February 28, 1999 to:
